Shape into finger-sized sausages around toothpicks or heatproof skewers. Place the sausages in the boiling water for 10 minutes, then remove to cool. Mix together 1 tablespoon of oil with cayenne pepper in a bowl. Brush the sausages with this mixture and place on a baking sheet; broil for 5 minutes on each side to brown lightly and serve warm.
